There is a great deal of reusable packaging on the market. This is mainly reusable industrial and commercial packaging that has great growth potential for the future.
For one-way household packaging, this represents in 2024 a status quo (a minimal increase of 0.20 kilotonnes) compared with the quantities reported for the previous reporting year.
For one-way industrial and commercial packaging, this represents a decrease of 11.04 kilotonnes compared with the quantities reported for the previous reporting year.
The total quantity of reusable household packaging has decreased by 7.28 kilotonnes compared with the previous reporting year.
For the 2024 reporting year, the accredited compliance organisation also reported the extrapolated quantities for the total of all reusable household packaging for the first time. The difference between the reported and extrapolated quantities amounts to 0.24 kilotonnes.
The total quantity of reusable industrial and commercial packaging has decreased by 11.17 kilotonnes compared with the previous reporting year.
